Domino's Prexy New Michigan AD

David Brandon, the CEO of Domino’s Pizza and a former Michigan football player, is replacing Bill Martin as the university’s athletic director, he confirmed in an e-mail to AnnArbor.com.

Brandon's appointment will be effective March 8, pending approval of the university Regents at their Jan. 21 meeting. He is scheduled to be introduced at a staff meeting Tuesday morning.

No doubt he'll bring the same high quality Domino's is known for to the Michigan program.

A Michigan family of football supporters head out one Saturday to do their Christmas shopping. While in the sports shop the son picks up an Ohio State jersey and says to his older sister, "I've decided to become a Buckeye fan and I would like this for Christmas".

His big sister is outraged by this and promptly whacks him round the head and says, "Go talk to mother"; and off goes the little lad with the Ohio State jersey in hand and finds his mother.

"Mom?"

"Yes son?"

"I've decided I'm going to be a Buckeye fan and I would like this jersey for Christmas". The mother is outraged at this, promptly whacks him around the head and says, "Go talk to your father!"

Off he goes with the Ohio State Jersey in hand and finds his father.

"Dad?"

"Yes son?"

"I've decided I'm going to be an Ohio State fan and I would like this jersey for Christmas". The father is outraged and promptly whacks his son around the head and says, "No son of mine is ever going to be seen in THAT!"

About half an hour later they're all back in the car and heading towards home. The father turns to his son and says "Son, I hope you've learned something today?" The son says, "Yes, Dad, I have."

"Good son, what is it?"

The son replies, "I've only been an Buckeye fan for an hour and I already hate you Michigan bastards!!"

Michigan Cat

A guy walks into a bar in Ann Arbor wearing a Michigan jersey. And carrying a cat that also has a Michigan jersey on with a little Wolverine helmet on his head, too.

The guy says to the bartender, 'Can my cat and I watch the Michigan-OSU game here? My TV at home broke down and my cat and I always watch the game together'.

The bartender replies, 'Normally, cats wouldn't be allowed in the bar, but it's not very busy in here right now, so you and the cat can have a seat at the end of the bar. But, if there's any trouble with you or the cat, I'll have to ask you to leave'

The guy agrees, and he and his cat start watching the game. Pretty soon Michigan manages to kick a field goal and the excited cat jumps up on the bar, walks all the way down and gives everyone a high five.

The bartender says, 'Hey, that's pretty cool! What does he do for a Michigan win?'

The guys answers, 'I don't know, I've only had him for 6 years.'

I've heard this cheer in many opponents' stadiums, but "O-H-I-O" sounds particularly lovely in the Big House, don't you think?
